New 'do

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you might have seen that I got me a serious fringe with my latest haircut a week ago. I definitely haven't had bangs this short since the first grade and it's amazing how much they can change your look. I'm still having trouble recognizing myself in the mirror.

I popped the +1 close-up filter on my 50mm and did an arm-length selfie here. To address a comment on my last self-portrait post about how I manage to focus properly: actually, whenever I try these, at least four out of five shots are focused on my nose, hair, mouth, etc. Getting it right on the eyes (especially at f1.2) is just trial and error.

Donning my current choice red: NARS lipstick in Joyous Red. :)

    so... i am totally on a red lipstick kick right now. i have devoted way too many hours to trying to find the perfect one. i thought about joyous red but heard it had more orange-y tones -- no bueno for my cool-toned skin. :/
