A morning of polaroids
I recently got a Mamiya RZ67 Pro II on eBay after playing around with one at Cindy's. The large square Polaroids you can achieve with the Polaroid back was the main draw for me, plus it's really quite the workhorse (and an excellent arm/wrist workout). I shot through a pack of Fuji FP-3000B film and a few of the color 100C as well. Here's just a sampling from this morning. Avedon is quite the poser.

Aspens
Aspen trees are so beautiful, it's no wonder Ansel Adams found so much inspiration in them. These were taken at Mueller State Park near Colorado Springs. We sadly only got to spend about 20 minutes in the park, so I grabbed a few shots from around the visitor center, doing my best to channel the great photographer.

At Cindy's
At Cindy's (and Seth's), there is magical light at all hours, and a certain beautiful stillness. I documented our first face-to-face meetup here (whoa did I really take those photos!?). It's only been three years since we first met but it feels so much longer. I just spent the past week in Denver, Colorado Springs, and San Francisco. It was a mix of work and pleasure, and it was so nice to spend a few days with Cindy and Seth. I am forever grateful to them for their generosity and kindness.

Stella Artois Cidre II
Part two of my evening with Stella Artois Cidre began with a quick trip up to the shared rooftop space in my apartment building. I rarely take advantage of it properly, so this was more than a perfect opportunity to do so. We couldn't have asked for better weather that night.
Kristy made an apple spice cake for dessert, which was so popular that not a single crumb remained by the end of the night (and here I was, selfishly hoping for leftovers ;)). I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking.
Disclosure: Thank you to Stella Artois for sponsoring this event.

Stella Artois Cidre I
I almost never entertain because if I did, we'd probably be eating Honeycomb cereal and drinking pour over coffee. Also if you saw the amount of counter space I have, you'd understand. When I got the chance to put together a small dinner based around Stella Artois' new Cidre product, I knew it could be great with a little help from my talented friends. Kristy developed a menu that would work well for my small space and to go with the Cidre.
We had Kumamoto and Beau Soleil oysters, a great endive salad, sautéed mushrooms with toasted hazelnuts, crab toasts, tons of cheeses and meats, and of course, washed it all down with copious amounts of Cidre. Dessert to come in another post ;).
We managed to squeeze around my coffee table and there was much Instagramming involved, with a "punny" hashtag courtesy of Emily, #cidrevousplaît (see our photos here).
