Pigalle
Paris with a heat index of 102 is a Paris I don't want to experience too many times in my lifetime. It's not that I can't handle a little heat, but when it does get that bad, my body just wants to slump down over an ice cube, and I operate at 30% capacity because I'm drained so easily. Also, 95% of Paris does not have AC, so when you've finally made it to your destination after a sweltering walk, there is no relief. In fact, it was often hotter indoors than out. The AC was also broken in our hotel room the first night, but that's a whole can of worms I won't get into.
Anyway, the fiery heat meant getting out as early as possible before temperatures properly rose. I took these shots over a leisurely breakfast at Le Pigalle (which was around the corner from where we stayed at Le Grand Pigalle) and in the surrounding streets.

// Lo & Sons bag
// Celine sunglasses *side note, Matches has by far the lowest priced Celine eyewear I have seen anywhere. This pair, for example, retails for $450 in the US, 320 Euros in Europe (which is what I paid and thought was a "deal"), and somehow is only $285 on the site. Snag it up before they realize! I also have my eyes on these orange-pink babies.

Tuck
A much more summer appropriate way to wear this shirt, originally seen here. It's no breakthrough discovery but it's kind of neat what a simple tuck of the collars inside and tying of the bottom can do to change the look of a shirt. Though I don't love wearing silk in the summer time, it's fine when you know you're going straight into an AC-blasting room (which I was that night). In any case, I'll surely be styling all my linen and cotton button ups this way now. No bra necessary, because it's nice to let the ladies breathe a bit in the summertime ;). For reference, I'm wearing a size 2 in this shirt (shop it here).

Humid
It's been a strange June in NYC – it's 96 degrees one day and 60 the next. Overall humidity has been low though, until yesterday, that is. Summer is definitely here now. I tried to stay cool in this very feminine top (perhaps way more feminine than my usual taste but just so pretty), and these new white sandals which are reminiscent of the classic Hermes Oran style (oops, looks like white is sold out for now). I also had a dozen inquiries about this lipstick after posting on my IG stories, and it is the Bare Minerals Statement Matte in Devious.
Breakfast at l'estudio (above) has become a favorite. I love that they serve Panther coffee. The baked skillet eggs are a must.
I bought these Moussy jeans in Tokyo and have been living in them since. Of course, I can't seem to find the exact pair online, but you can find this cult Japanese brand here and here. What I love about this pair is the extra high-rise and the fact that it has a zipper fly. So many boyfriend jeans styles come with the button fly which I find to be an extra pain in the ass. Also they barely need hemming, which is rare for me. Just a cuff will do. I finished this look with this blush backpack... which gave me free hands to carry home the new plant I picked up at the just-opened Cactus Shop pop-up (below)!

Silent St.
How do you convey "the calm and peaceful morning after a snowstorm" in video form when you're shooting at the start of summertime in NY? Well, you rely on some clichés and shoot at the crack of dawn in SoHo when only the street cleaners and the occasional dog walker are out. So that's how I came to this video interpretation of Derek Lam 10 Crosby's Parfum Stick in Silent St. Many thanks to my buddy Chris Ozer for shooting and executing the vision.

Polo Classic
I spent the better part of a glorious Saturday downing champagne and catching up with fellow creatives at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. I generally avoid day drinking as it makes me ready for bed by 6pm but when in Rome...

Platform
I pulled out a few classics from my closet for a Mikimoto event in Tokyo this past week, including this Valentino dress from many seasons ago that I pretty much wear to every cocktail event ever, and my Hermès Constance bag (bought used a few years ago as well). Before I left on this trip, I stopped by the Prada store and splurged on these platform sandals that I've been eying forever. Sort of kicking myself, because they are now on sale (though in different colorways) here and also here with more available sizes. Hah, maybe I should consider another pair...? Any shoe that makes me as tall as 5'7" is exciting in my books.

Thank you, Blair, for taking these photos!
