I haven't done one of these his/her looks in ages, so it was the perfect prop to get us wanting to shoot again. Here's what we actually wore today - minus the mustache (c/o Ashley!) and kitteh.

Obviously our white muslin background could use some ironing... and I eventually want to get some colored backdrops for moodier shots. I'm just terrified of the background looking like those hideous ones used reserved for elementary school portraits.
I think we'll leave the stand set up there for now. I want to collect some fun props, and whoever comes by the apartment will be forced to take a photobooth style portrait there. :)
Oh, how fun! Speaking of "September Issue," have the two of you seen "Bill Cunningham New York?" I highly recommend it.
ReplyDeleteyou are too cute.
ReplyDeletehaha what a great idea! you can make a "guest" board for all of the portraits you end up taking!
ReplyDeleteLove this shoot! Your style is great. And not just because it's similar to mine. ;)
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea :) love it!
ReplyDeleteI love this!! even the wrinkles. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are SO FUN! Chris and I have been talking about creating a similar set-up in our apartment, but we currently live in a tin can so there really isn't an inch of un-used space around here.
ReplyDeleteReally really love the last one of J and your little prince, beyond my crazy-cat-lady reasons.
Great set-up! Those jump shots really made me smile!
ReplyDeletethose frye shoes are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteFUN!!! Love this idea (although a bar would have been fun too, best to have both!)
ReplyDeleteLove this Alice! Great use for that space. Maybe it can be a bar/photo shoot space :) Best of both worlds!! I like Avedon's cameo too.
ReplyDeleteI like her style. She has so friendly smile.
