I love a good excuse to get a pair of comfortable flats and with the looming wedding season ahead, I decided my beat up Sperrys that I wore to death last year should have a little break. In comes the classic Bloch ballet flat. I've already walked miles in these babies this week to test out their endurance. A little blister on the first day, but it looks like they'll do the job quite well.
(Oh yes, it's the Fuji 3000b again.)
They come in a ton of fun colors, but I stuck with "Atoms" which is a nice nude gray color. I'm quite tempted to get the hot coral though... We'll see how they do tomorrow, for my first wedding of the season. Let the season begin!
Oops - wrong sign-in...here's my comment ;)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for this post!! I have been in dire need of a new pair of flats - I wore my previous Repettos to the ground (they're literally falling apart) and really need a new chic flat. These are so pretty!
Looking forward to seeing your photos from the wedding! :)
Came across your blog via Tumblr, and have to say that I love your work! Your photos are some kind of beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up, I was never the person to be found wearing flats. I'm pretty short, and I guess, in many ways, high heels helped to elevate my self-confidence. Then of course, I started working, and couldn't stand walking around in heels for 9+ hours. I love that there are now so many flats to choose from, and the beautiful variety that's out there.
Thanks for reminding me of how much I love coming home with comfortable feet!
Cheers.
Wow, those are awesome flats. If I could afford them, I would definitely own a pair! And I just bought some of that film for my old Polaroid. Still waiting for it in the mail. ;)
ReplyDeleteyes, a pair or two of comfy flats is always welcome in my shoe closet. i've been looking for a new pair myself. this brand is new to me, but i love the colors already. let us know how they hold up!
ReplyDeleteI am forever a flat loyalist, if I think that years ago I didn't want to wear them in fear of looking too short, now it's basically the only pair of shoes I have (in many variations of course).
ReplyDeleteoooh, nice shoes. I say get the coral ones - I'm rather keen on the patriot blue one's too :)
ReplyDeleteI have been playing around wuth buying a pair of flats lately after never owning any. They are a damn nice pair of flats. I think I might be sold
ReplyDeleteGot to love the flats! I couldn't live without them. (First time reading your blog - it's so pretty) :)
ReplyDeleteI will never understand ladies who shoot weddings in flats! I did that once and my feet were screaming! And it was only 6 hours, too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the start of a new season! Can't wait to see your shots -- I'm sure it was splendid!
I absolutely adore these ballet flats! I am in need of a new pair, so thank you for sharing! x
