Kailin

When Marjorie, a talented photographer herself, asked me if I would take portraits of her free-spirited, adorable daughter, Kailin, I was pretty darn excited. And a tad intimidated. I mean, I was admiring the photos she had taken of her daughter here, and wondering if I'd be man enough for the job!

Marjorie now blogs their lovely adventures here. She's a bit of a superwoman - I am still amazed at how she does it all between running a photography business, raising a kid, and getting her BFA at Parsons. I thank her for trusting me with these portraits. :)

This first batch here is film - Kodak Portra 400 on my lovely Contax.


And here are just a few of the digital shots I liked too.


Kailin was amazing through our whole shoot. Tons of energy and expressions. I had muscles hurting the next day that I didn't know existed!

    Wow! Kids are incredibly hard to photograph (I do it everyday!) and you nailed this. I'm not surprised in the least bit though, because it's, well, you. :)

    Wow! These shots are all wonderful! Kailin is AMAZING, so expressive and full of life. I absolutely love the film one of her running on the street.
