I was roaming around Le Bon Marché a few Paris visits ago having no luck finding anything I wanted in my size. I had just about given up but stopped by the Stella McCartney section to have a look. You know me and how I am mostly allergic to print and color, but something came over me and I found myself attracted to this dress and the idea of wanting to dress more my age (whatever that means). I had immediate buyer's remorse but couldn't bring myself to walk back to the counter to return it. So I kept the darn thing even though it's nowhere near seasonally appropriate at the moment in NY. I took the opportunity to wear it in Hong Kong and the lush greens there made a nice backdrop for it.

ReplyDeleteSo fresh and unobtrusive in terms of color gamma!I would like to have this one! Where can I buy it?)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! What lens do you use with the a7r?
ReplyDeleteI use a 35mm and 55mm! These were shot with the 35mm I believe.
Deletei think i know what you mean by wanting to dress your age. sometimes i think i dress too much like someone 20-30 years older than i am (in fact my boss recently asked if i was in mourning, with all the oversized black getups lately). but really, i've always thought older ladies have better style anyway. they seem more comfortable, and like they're having more fun. :)
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to drop 3k on an a7r. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, beautiful dress and beautiful lady! I love your curls too. What do you use to make them?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I use a GHD hair straightener to get the curls!
DeleteHi! Any chance this dres is going to be on your Depop page sometime soon? :)
