It's hard to leave the
MoMA without feeling at least a bit inspired. A recent trip reminded me of how much I enjoy spending a lazy weekend afternoon there (although doing this on a weekend during the holidays may not have been the brightest idea – it was like Disney World in there, lines and elbows and all). I took a few snaps with my new Sony a7r of a few things that inspired me. More thoughts on this camera to come.
The special Magritte exhibit was quite a treat, as I've admired the guy's work since I was in 6th grade. No photos allowed in the exhibit of course, but it's best to experience in person anyway.
This is BEAUTIFUL. The contrast in your photos is gorgeous, Alice!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the moma, and these pictures are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSeems like a very photogenic museum. I would have loved to have seen some photos from the exibit. I've always had a thing for Magritte's brand of Surrealism.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos from what I can only assume is a lovely place. Toronto boasts the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) and I could definitely spend an entire day wandering the halls. I especially like the folded paper! Each photo gives me a serious Wes Anderson vibe.
ReplyDeleteI've always had a soft spot in my heart for traipsing around art galleries. I guess that's what happens when you go to art school and spend every other week for four years touring different spaces and work.
ReplyDeletegreat images! I love your compositions :D
ReplyDeleteI love visiting galleries - gorgeous photos :)
