Dinner at Rebecca's

It was almost a year ago that Rebecca, the mastermind behind A Daily Something, planned and produced a beautiful and simple dinner party at her stunning 300-year-old, stone-walled Quaker farmhouse. And I had the pleasure of being there to shoot it. The house is amazing, as you can imagine from the description. We recently got the story published in Issue 7 of The Simple Things. I wanted to share some of the many outtakes that I dug up while going through my archives. I shot a mix of digital and film for this.

    Alice, may I ask what the benefits are for you shooting film over digital? I haven't used film in a long time, maybe I'm missing out on something special?

    I love the way film captures things so beautifully. Very nostalgic to see film prints. Makes you feel at home. Perfect choice for this shoot.

    what a perfectly cozy and perfectly styled little gathering...can't wait to have an eating space big enough to have little gatherings like this one day, though i can't say i could make it as lovely. great photos, of course, as always!
