And a few behind the (precarious) scenes snapshots. I had to get on top of the bar with my tripod. Then I ate all the desserts.

"then I ate all the desserts". Smooth, Alice! That is indeed some wonderful plating skills.
ReplyDeleteDelish!!! I love the BTS shoots. It def goes to show that capturing such gorgeous photos takes lots of work and set up.

amazing how you're able to align the tripod like that to shoot food shots. beautifully done. :)
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are amazing. The lighting is absolutely perfect. Did you have to use a reflector at all?
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the behind the scenes pictures! My goal for the next year is to start photographing food and it's awesome to see how you work. Thanks again.

Hi Jared, I used a makeshift reflector by putting a white apron over a crate. You can sort of see it in the second behind the scenes shot. :P
DeleteHello Alice! These shots are beautiful! Can I ask you what is the brand of your tripod? I have some issues with my Manfrotto: I find it too short for overhead shots and I am struggling to have a real sharp image (did you use a 24-70mm lens?) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is the tripod I have - it's a Gitzo Explorer. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/631133-REG/Gitzo_GK2550EXQR_GK2550XQR_3_Section_Explorer_Carbon.html
DeleteI used the 24-70 here. Hope that helps!
Thanks a lot for your answer!
