Back in May, I shot Allison and Ryan's engagement session in Hoboken, NJ and was pleasantly surprised at how charming Hoboken was (also pleasantly surprised at how ridiculously quick the PATH trip is). I especially loved its train station and would love to shoot another session there. Here are a few frames from their session. All film except for three digitals that I tried to hide in there. ;)
You may be seeing them again on here, as I'll be shooting their wedding in September.
In unrelated news, I am a pretty unhappy camper in the summer. How do people actually enjoy this season?? Sure the fruits and produce are great, but I constantly feel sticky and dehydrated and I sweat just walking a block. Ick. You bet I'm looking forward to Autumn already.
two things:
ReplyDelete1. adore the photos; got my guesses on the film :) cutie patootie couple!
2. here in seattle it is grey and cold. 59 is the high. we haven't seen the sun in days despite the forecast continuing to promise it's coming. i'd love just the chance to get so hot i sweat! lol
damn us and our inability to be happy; oh the trials to woo over...
If only New York could give Seattle like 15-20 degrees. Then we could all be happy. About the weather at least.

DeleteHaha, oh Alice, I couldn't agree with you more about Summer! Yeah, I love the fresh peaches and beautiful blooming flowers but wow, do I hate the heat and sweating and bugs! Fall is my favorite time of year and you can bet I'm already wishing it were here.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely session. Can't wait to see their wedding!
Feel so fortunate to be out here on the West coast with the summer breeze. I'm waiting for your 1yr anniversary of becoming a full time photographer. Remember you mentioning something about sharing your year long experience and changes. My guess is it's coming soon .. no?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs as always. I had a question about the setting itself. Did anyone give you any hard time because you were photographing at the train station. Not sure how strict they might be at Grand Central Station in New York since I've surprisingly enough have never visited but security or police in general sometimes look at photographs funny when we're trying to captures scenes of places that may not mean much to them.
ReplyDeletesuch a gorgeous place alice! and the pictures were amazing!! and i'm almost feeling like you! i get tired of seasons fast, but summer beats all of the rest and i may not actually get tired of fall or spring! if it's too hot, i'll get so desperate! just to remember that back in october almost november we had like 90ยบ.... argh, please! not that again!!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh! they are so precious.
ReplyDeleteso beautiful shots, all of them...
ReplyDeleteGirl, you need to venture out more. :) Seth's family is from Weehawken, right above Hoboken. And the Path is super convenient. Nice session.
ReplyDeleteAmazing clicks Alice, loved them all. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see their wedding photos! These are absolutely stunning, Alice :)
ReplyDeleteSummer is so much more bearable with central air, haha.

ReplyDeleteFantastic location and light is great looked like they had a fun day :)
ReplyDeleteCarlax
THE PONYTAIL SILHOUETTE IS PERFECTION.
ReplyDeleteThese came out so great! Love them all! =) See you in September!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Love the idea of summer but the heat is what makes the fall so much more appealing with cooler temps & cuter clothes! ;)
ReplyDeleteFirst off, seasons are not capitalized. And secondly, why did you capitalize autumn, but you kept summer lowercased?
