Textured

Back in March, I had the chance to escape a still wintery NY and trade it for the warm humidity of Cartagena. When Cuyana asked if I could tag along on their summer campaign shoot in Cartagena and capture some BTS and travel photos, my answer was an enthusiastic yes. I was excited to explore the city and take in its beautiful colors, facades and textures. When I got there, I had to stop myself from photographing every nook and cranny. Below is a selection of film scans from my Leica M6 (sprinkled in with a few digital shots).

ft. maxi cover-up

ft. linen slip dress

ft. lightweight scarf, coin pouch, overnight bag, mini saddle bag

ft. tropical print scarf, linen off-shoulder top, linen shorts

As a little bonus, Cuyana and Artifact Uprising partnered and created a gorgeous lay-flat photo book of my Cartagena images, as well as put together this write-up about intentional travel, which I also contributed some words to.

I swear I didn't even ask for a pink cover but they must have read my mind (or my blog hah). You can easily design your own book here. Besides the great feeling of putting your work in print, making one of these books is also a great exercise in really editing down your work and choosing the best representation of your subject matter.

  1. Hi Alice - Would you please be able to share where you got the Leica M6? I saw a brand new Leica M6 on eBay, but was skeptical of it being fake!

    1. I bought mine off ebay as well. I think you just have to be smart about shopping on ebay, but there are definitely gems on there!
