Denim and whites

It was a hot one this weekend. I tried to wear as little as possible without being scandalous. These shorts and tank top were quite a bargain at $50 and $28, respectively. Despite their price points, they feel and look more expensive, and you know how obsessed with high-rise anything I am these days. I picked up the same tank in nude as well because they're so easy and can be worn with just about anything. They're also double-layered so the white is fairly opaque.




This tote is definitely no stranger to the blog, and it's held up really well even after being in bad weather and just generally being tossed around and stuffed to the brim. I finally got my hands on the Maryam Nassir Zadeh Palma sandals that I've been eying forever. The boutique in NYC restocked recently, so I pounced on a pair. They come in so many beautiful colors (like these and these) it was hard to choose a pair, but I found the white to be just as striking as a brighter color.



For all the commenters curious about the accessories: The necklace is Still House; rings are Catbird, Still House, and N+A; watch is Hermes (secondhand one here).

I'm already craving sweater weather, but I suppose it'll be here before I know it!

    Are you using any iPhone case? I've always the trouble of feels it can crash or not every day. But you know.

      I don't use a case since the 6+ is so big already. I've already created a ton of scratches and dents in it because of this though. Trade offs!

    I love these shorts! Are the true to size? Are the cuffs sewed that way? How long is the inseam? Thanks!

      Glad you like! The cuffs are sewn that way which is kinda nice, because you don't have to worry about them uncuffing as you walk. I sized up and it's a good fit. I'm usually a 0/XS, and I went with the 2 because Asos tends to run a bit small. The inseam is about 2.5 inches.

      It's not accurate in these photos since the lipstick kind of wore off, but it's the YSL Stain in Rouge Laque. I only applied a tiny bit for a tinted look but you can go full out and do a deep red with it.

    Love the tank top and great to hear it's pretty opaque. I saw that the reviews on the site said it ran a bit big - did you find that it did too? (Just trying to figure out if I should go my regular size or go down one!)

      It runs large for Topshop sizing, but it runs true to size compared to other brands, if that makes sense. Topshop usually runs small, so I size up, but I went with my normal size here and it's good. For reference, I'm in a Topshop Size 2 (0 US) here.

    I love the tank, but I'm afraid of wearing polyester in the summer. Did you find it was breathable enough given that it is a tank?

      I agree, polyester is not my cup of tea, but I'd also rather not wear silk and have to dry clean after each sweat and wear. The nice thing about this is at least I can toss it in the washer. It was breathable enough for me on a 90 degree day.

    Discovered you via cupofjo.com. Your photos and outfits are amazing. Do you shoot most of your photos with the Sony A7R or a DSLR? I just bought an Olympus OMD 10, in hopes of taking better photos. Unlike you, I still rely on the auto feature :)

      It depends. Mostly use the DSLR in studio setting, but I pretty much travel solely with the A7R!

    Ah that little tank top - I saw them in Topshop recently and thought that they were lovely. They come in so many colours. Loved the behind the scenes snap of this post on your snapchat, I really do love seeing glimpses of how you put your photos together!
