Just a friday post
Just poking my head in here before another week goes by with no posts. I've recently come back from another Paris trip (though if you follow along on Instagram, I still appear to be in Paris ;)). These past few visits have made me seriously think about the possibility of living there more long term. I love the lifestyle there and want to properly learn the language. I find myself very comfortable there, but not in an unmotivated way (like LA makes me feel hah). In the meantime, I wouldn't say no to taking a few more weekend trips over there. Basically I just need an apartment there and keep my apartment here... sigh, wouldn't that be the dream.

As Audrey Hepburn once said, Paris is always a good idea! I've used to live in Paris and I loved it! Turned out it was the best decision of my life as I met the love of my life, a beautiful sweet French boy and now live in France permanently (though not in Paris). Hope you get to come to often!
ReplyDeleteI've been really enjoying you instagram posts of Paris, it really seems wonderful! x

*Sigh* that truly is the dream. For my husband and I, we want to live in London and spend our weekends in Paris.
ReplyDeleteYour Instagram photos have all been so beautiful, I've loved following along with your adventures!

Hi Alice,
ReplyDeleteYour blog and photos are so lovely! I admire your work. I'm currently looking to buy my first "real" camera and someone is selling their Sony a7ii and Fuji x100t. I noticed that you are using the Sony a7r and it would be great if you could share some feedback on your experience with it or if you've familiar with the Fuji x100 series. I'm an amateur at shooting but am looking for a good quality camera.
Thanks!

I highly recommend the a7r, but it is on the pricey side. I tell everyone this -- I use it for almost everything now, except in-studio shoots. The only complaint I have is the crappy battery life and it is much slower to take a photo on it vs an SLR. Other than that, I really love the thing. I have the Zeiss for Sony 35mm and 55mm for it but mostly just use the 35mm.
