Hoping to shoot more personal "work" this weekend. Have a good one!

Shades of grey
I don't know why I don't shoot more black and white film (I guess the easy answer is that I can always make my color film black and white but not vice versa). But I always love the results, especially when it comes to portraits. Some dapper looking guests from last month's City Hall wedding. :)

I totally have the same thought about black and white photos, that I can always make colour pictures b&w if I want to >_< But these ones are totally amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see your personal "work" :)
beautiful b&w's. nice portrait work.
ReplyDeleteWonderful portraits Alice.. fact is that most people aren;t able to tell the difference between a original b&w or a color converted b&w.. specially when you are using vsco ;)
ReplyDeletewonderful portraits
ReplyDeleteThese are just.. amazing. What type of film did you use for these?
ReplyDelete@Austin,
ReplyDeleteThese are Kodak Tri-X. :)
I know what you mean-- I give myself the same rationalizations regarding shooting color vs b&w. But, there are just so many different b&w films out there that render a scene or a skin tone so completely differently. And I'm never disappointed when I shoot a roll. Plus, knowing AS I shoot that there will be no color in the photos really forces me to pay more attention to form and composition as opposed to, well, color!
