The Apartment | Copenhagen

I had to drag myself out of The Apartment very reluctantly. These pictures should hopefully show you why. The Apartment is an interior showroom set in an 18th Century apartment in Copenhagen and is always changing to highlight new pieces. I couldn't get over how beautifully the bold colors went together, and it completely inspired me to try to add more color into my own place. The founders, Tina Seidenfaden Busck and Pernille Hornhaver, have such great eyes and taste. I'm pretty sure I audibly gasped when I first stepped in. Many thanks to Ida Laerke (who I felt like I have known forever via Instagram and finally got to meet in person!) for bringing me here.

  2. I have visited Copenhagen for the first time last year, and it immediately won me over. Hands down my favourite European capital – so lively, cheerful and just plain drop-dead beautiful. The food is amazing, the lifestyle is unbeatable. Living in London – which is great, too – I got to appreaciate smaller cities with still a lot going on. These pictures are just the best example of how creative and inspiring Copenhagen is. Your images are so gorgeous, Alice. They make me ache to go back for more soon. Thanks for sharing. x

  4. Beautiful space I really love the rugs ! This is quite inspiring. I'm very much a white white and more white kind of person when it comes to home decor but I've been trying to bring some small colourful pieces into my home lately !

  10. Alice, nice to see a post from Copenhagen. I live on Christianshavn about 4 minutes from the apartment and it's great here. What are your thoughts on Copenhagen otherwise - what impressed you and what surprised you???

  12. Wow, you're right, there is so much boldness but at the same time everything feels so elegant and poised. There was some sort of small statue, a naked woman with arms transitioning into tree branches which I am IN LOVE with...

    and NEED.

  18. The prominent use of the color blue in the walls and several pieces of furniture truly adds to the elegancy of 18th century Copenhagen themed apartment. With black color accents found on the bookshelves and other furniture, it truly brings a sense of class in the compact-yet-sophisticated room. I wish it was a real apartment though; I was dismayed it’s only an interior showroom set. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing!

  20. That 18th century Copenhagen themed apartment is lovely! Ornaments and decors are just on the right place, and the blue color makes it look cooler and cozier. That may be just an interior showroom set, but I'm still hoping that the whole thing will be done for real in your own home. :)
