From there, we took another boat ride to Las Bachas beach. We were warned where not to step, as the beach is a major egg-laying site for sea turtles (how cool!). It was a little chilly to be spending much time in the water for me, so I took a leisurely stroll along the water while others went snorkeling. The sand was extra-fine and felt wonderful beneath my feet. The colors were just unreal. On these cold and grey NYC days, it's hard to remember the idyllic weather of the islands.

Galapagos is one of places in South America that I miss and totally regret it. I need to go back. Your pictures are so beautiful that by looking I feel like experiencing it myself.

ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning place to visit. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are absolutely amazing! They really capture the details of the place - and that beach looks amazing, especially getting to share it with all those amazing animals.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week!
These look noisy like they came from a mirrorless camera with a small sensor. If they're really a DSLR I'd probably try a fill flash, or just changing position so the sunlight reflection is less directly at the lens, or just taking pictures later in the day. The shadows are better later anyway.
ReplyDeleteI would love to fly off to the Galapagos with LAN Airlines! It's on my bucket list!
