I have always wanted to design a little calendar using some of my photos from the year. This year, I thought it would be fitting to use Instagram photos, and I'm excited to finally present the finished product. The calendar is printed on a nice matte paper and comes unbound, so there's some flexibility in how you want to display it. When each month is done, you can cut off the calendar portion, and keep a little 5x5 print (if you'd like :)).
The photos I chose are tied in to still life, coffee and interiors - which comprise the bulk of my
Instagram feed.
For the month of November, I am donating 25% of all calendar sales to local Hurricane Sandy relief efforts (a great list on Jenna's blog
here). You can grab a calendar with the button right down there.

ReplyDeletethis is such a beautiful creation Alice. i loved the way u displayed them on to the ROYALE wall :) i also have been thinking for long time to make a similar kind of calender using my kids photos, and to gift it to my family.:)
ReplyDeleteloved your spirit of helping the needy ! great work.
I have been wanting to own a piece of your work for a long time, I am a big fan of your Instagram feed, and now this opportunity! Thank you, thank you.
ReplyDeleteso very, very lovely. definitely adding to my "want" list and love that you are attributing a portion of sales to something so close to your heart right now.
ReplyDeletethis is so very creative. i love it.
ReplyDeletelove this so much. your photography is always stunning :)
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing. I love your IG images.
ReplyDeleteI must ask...is that hand grinder any good? If so, where did you pick it up??
Jesse, it's not bad! It takes a bit of elbow grease, but it was well worth it when I didn't have power to use my electrical burr grinder. I got it at a Blue Bottle cafe here, but you can get it online: http://www.amazon.com/Hario-Coffee-Hand-Grinder-Skerton/dp/B001802PIQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352400831&sr=8-1&keywords=hario+skerton
DeleteGreat, thanks for that! Out of curiosity, what electric burr grinder do you use? Last question haha.
DeleteI have the rancilio silvia - it's actually not the greatest for drip coffee, it's more of an espresso grinder.
DeleteBeautiful, Alice! I am always inspired by your work - and helping out a good cause.
ReplyDeleteDo you ship internationally for this ?? I would love to buy it and I'm from Singapore .
ReplyDeleteYes, can do!
DeleteI was wondering the same thing as the last comment! I am in Brazil.. do you ship here?
ReplyDeleteSure thing!
DeleteAlice I have to say that this calendar is such a creative idea and came out beautifully. I'm meant to be on a shopping ban but maybe I can't break it for this...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this, Alice! Love the way you hung them above your dining table too. You mentioned just the pictures are 5x5, but what are the measurements of each calendar sheet say we want to frame each of them on our wall?
ReplyDeleteHi Ryan, the dimensions are 5.5x8.5 (half of a letter sized sheet).
DeleteI would love to buy one may I ask what dimensions it has?
ReplyDeleteAnd another question. I am also working on my yearly calendar for family gifts for Xmas and I always have SUCH a hard time getting all the dates inline on the calendar layout. How did you do? do you have any tips? You seem to have got all dates lined up neatly without any sticking out looking ugly. Which program do you do it in? I use Photoshop
Third year around and still THAT is what takes most time, making the dates fit proportionally. Gosh, have I explained this well enough? =)
Thanks before hand
Hi Juliet - The dimensions are 5.5x8.5 (half a letter sized sheet). I used InDesign to create the calendar. Photoshop would have been a nightmare haha.
Deletebeautiful, love the selection of images
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, this is gorgeous. I am continually blown away by your images...it's such an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this, Alice. And in response to your tweet, take your time; 2013 is still a ways off. No stress :)
ReplyDeleteReally nice calender. I would be interested in picking up a copy if you'd be willing to ship to Sweden.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Great print collection. warm regards from Vienna
ReplyDeleteHi Alice,
ReplyDeletewhen will you be shipping the calender? i've purchased it and am awaiting for its arrival!
Hi - unfortunately UPS has severely delayed my calendar materials shipping. I will do my best to ship as soon as I have the materials. Calendars are printed to order, so it takes me time to make each one. Sorry for any inconvenience!

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! Where are they printed? And on what kind of paper?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Hi Marthe - I print everything in house so I have the most control over quality. I use a medium-heavy weight matte paper.
