One area of photography I am dying to get more into is interiors. I could easily get lost in interior photography all day long. I also recently watched a Julius Shulman documentary (
Visual Acoustics) that inspired me even more to get better at interiors. So I jumped on the opportunity to shoot
Lauren Moffatt's apartment for Design Sponge's Sneak Peek column. Interiors are definitely a tricky beast. It was challenging without a tilt-shift lens, and I spent a long time manually fixing perspective in post-processing. The post on Design Sponge went up yesterday - but in case you missed it, here's a few photos from the shoot.

oh alice, i so know what you mean! when i try to shoot some interiors i also feel it's so hard! and i can only imagine people outside photography thinking that if you can handle a fancy camera, if you're a photographer then what's the big deal about shooting some interiors, right? but then there are these all sorts of issues that we know of! and a tilt-shift will obviously help you with that! the downward is actually being so expensive! and these are beautiful, by the way! such a lovely home! and that eames chair story?!
ReplyDeletethis is a beautiful and eclectic space. i love the hardwood floors and the white exposed brick wall in the living room. all the unique and antique furniture and trinkets give it real character. i would feel comfortable in her home.
