Yay, this little guy is so fun and cute. It's more so a toy than a camera, but I'm happy to add it to the camera collection (even though it is quiite hipster). The first pack was pretty much used up in crappy indoor light just to test it out and for kicks. I think this will be really great to bring on vacations and such.

1) Teddeh and me; 2) Jimmy in NOT a suit and looking rather child-like, hah; 3) Macarons from Bisous Ciao; 4) Newest batch of peonies (man they really have a short lifespan!); 5) Final GPOYW - so washed out!
Tomorrow I'm having an extra exciting lunch. It will require getting off the island... hope to share soon! :D
aaaaaaaand you guys are precious :D
ReplyDeletetooooo funny! i was juuuust looking at these at target this week and online to see if i could find a deal...much more expensive than i care to spend for each exposure! cute shots, Alice...have fun with it! :)
ReplyDeleteI have sooooo much fun with my instax cameras! I think you really can get some fabulous, artful images out of them... http://instanthaven.tumblr.com/
ReplyDeleteCan wait to read (and see) more about your exciting lunch!
I love my Instax Mini too! Perfect for documenting summer road trips :)
ReplyDeletecool cool -- i have the large version. so easy to use!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to hear more about this extra exciting lunch...
What a sweet post. Polaroids got so much warmth in them. You're making me want to buy one.
ReplyDeleteLove the Instax! :) I have one and it's definitely a fun camera to take pics with, the instant gratification as shots slide out of the camera is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteLove! I just received the instax mini for mothers day...after the boys shot off the first pack, i did a little test of my own...and i think i'll be reserving this bad boy for landscapes, lol. But fun none-the-less!
ReplyDeletehehe, fun! figures that peonies and macarons would be involved. i tend to shoot at the next level, to reduce the wash-out. play, right?
ReplyDeletethat lunch sounds nice. enjoy!
Gorgeous pics! I've been thinking of the white one myself too. Can't wait to hear/see your future adventures with this one!
ReplyDeleteinstax cameras are so cute!! and, as you said, they are more a toy than a camera :D
ReplyDeletedid you use the camera flash to shoot or just the indoor light?? I think they look really nice!! <3
I just got an Instax Wide, and I'm having trouble using it! It doesn't seem to reflect what I see in the viewfinder! Any advice? I'm looking forward to bringing it with me to San Francisco next week, but I'm just worried I don't know how to use it!
ReplyDeleteHaha you guys both looked like you had fun with that little thing. Great set of every day photos. It has a great, "real" feel to them :)
ReplyDeleteI wanted to get one of these! I love the way the instant photos look and yours are really good. :)
ReplyDeleteI like these... didn't even know any of these (polaroid instant) kinds of cameras survived the digital era. And in a different (non-square) format.
ReplyDeleteI like these! Pictures turn out so much nicer that I expected.. I'm tempted to get one!
ReplyDeleteArgh I love the polka dot shot! And welcome babe. I have a choco. It's just too yummy and handsome haha. :)

Its what i'm dreaming about!!!! Perfect for vacation and time with friends.
ReplyDeleteJimmy has a face!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust now going back through your blog for the past month of posts I've missed. Instead of commenting after each, let me summarize:
1) I gained 10lbs just reading
2) Licking the monitor does not a good substitute for actual eating make.
3) Abraco needs to be afraid. Very afraid.
4) Congrats on getting the biz going. Yay!!
We have one of these, they're so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWe bought it and 8 packs of film on sale, and I think we have a pack or so left. Actually pretty good when you consider there's 8 people in the family.
HOLY COW.. Jimmy out of a suit?
ReplyDeleteHi Alice,
ReplyDeleteMay I know what type of scanner you are using to scan the polaroids and films?
Thanks.
@tango, I use an epson v500 photo scanner. It's not the greatest but it gets the job done and it's cheap!
ReplyDeleteAlice,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reply.
