Birthday note for mom

Happy birthday to my mom who looks at least ten years younger than she's turning this year. :)


I used to love getting flung around in circles like this (almost 20 years ago, oh my). Now, that'd just be downright torturous!

Because it's a new year

I suppose I can't get away with not even remotely thinking about resolutions for this year, so I thought of these off the top of my head (and I kinda wanted to fill the negative space of this picture, taken on the rooftop of last night's party space). Number one on the list is a biggie for me. I'm not sure if I can get past my natural inclination to do it, but I am convinced I'd be a lot happier if I could! The others are more petty but they are things I want to be doing anyway, so I might as well spell it out for myself.

A happy new year

Well this year has flown! I am excited to see what next year brings, especially on the travel front. It has been much too long since our last trip out of the city, so J and I scratched the itch by booking tickets to New Orleans in February (not during Mardi Gras sadly). Would really love and appreciate any recommendations for must-sees.
